Local support from Dance From Above favorites Quilla, Fifty Foot Shadows, and Alvin Shavers.

Brooklyn duo Beacon explore the dark side of sweet melody with a sound thats as seductive as it is subtly discomfiting. The duo Thomas Mullarney III and Jacob Gossett met at Brooklyn’s Pratt Institute, where they were studying sculpture and painting respectively. They fuse the deceptively sweet melodies of R&B with an intoxicating undercurrent of darkness, drawing on influence as disparate as Warps back catalogue and Underworld.

Natasha Kmeto is a Portland-based singer and electronic producer who turns heads everywhere she goes. Armed with a taut dancefloor sensibility and a flutteringly sensuous voice, she exudes the kind of confidence that can only come from a staunch commitment to her craft. Her tracks, which she composes, produces, and performs entirely by herself, straddle the line between dance, pop, and RnB, making rhythmically intriguing compositions that slide effortlessly into the ear and send shivers down the spine. Her energy, talent, and realization of the intricate coalesce into a truly visceral live show, moving both to the partygoer and the thinking person alike. Wherever her music goes, heavy breathing will follow.

Quilla is a Canadian-Peruvian songwriter, vocalist, keyboardist and electronic producer. Originally from Montreal, she now resides in Greensboro NC. Weaving layers of infectious beats, piano melodies and mesmerizing vocal loops, Quilla’s music is inspired by indie pop and house music, and is a refreshing dose of magical realism for the ears. Her debut album ‘Beautiful Hybrid’ was met with critical acclaim: “Quilla is a multi-talented, multifaceted, hyper literate songstress offering a fresh perspective, and fascinating imagery, ” (Flush Magazine). Quilla is a featured vocalist on fifteen dance music singles released by labels such as Revealed Recordings, Armada Music, and Universal Music. Her upcoming self-produced EP will be released by Ritual Fire in spring 2016.
